Rides surrounding Barcelona Spain

Going to the city and wouldn't mind tagging a couple of days road biking on at end before departing from the city airport - so - is there somewhere closely that would suit ?

Thor of girona territory but we would prefer closer by if that's do-able

One trip you should definitely do is up to Montserrat. Easy from the airport...stay on the smaller roads....big climb up to the monastery. If poss, lock up your bike when you get up there and take the funicular up the last stretch to the summit paths and have a walk that will stay with you forever.

I'd also recommend riding north up the coast to the Costa Brava.
