Rumour has it at least the first three stages will be on the telly in 2027 -

I dont think its even at the stage of rumour fwiw, its simply the contract hasnt been signed yet or that theyre just not ready to announce it yet (like let this years races happen then tell everyone[1]), as I fully expect the first 3 stages to be televised live on "free-to-air" tv in the UK, for both TdF and TdFF, and given the unusual amount of interest the BBC were displaying on the route announcement... we'll see I guess.

what that means going forward afterwards, might well depend on the viewing figures.

[1] theres like a big global conference held each year in Cannes for TV broadcasters, called MIPCOM where alot of deals are signed and content rights are sold between each other as its like a big trade fair for them. if I had to put a date on an announcement, it would come around then...assuming Im right (and I have been known not to be :) )
