Amorim (he rode for Maia-Milaneza, eg. Vuelta, Tour de Suisse, Romandie), who retired after the 2005 season, died on April 30th, aged 39.

This is sad news. It seems that we don't really have any further details at the moment, just that he was found dead at his home.

Thoughts go out to Gonçalo's family, friends and colleagues.
