Road Gallery Thread

I am creating this thread so we can compile those photographs which we think are the best ones. Artistic and conceptual. The only criteria is to have a caption with some information on the picture! Road Cycling related ofc!

I start with this one. The image features Dario Cataldo in Giro d'Italia stage 20, under terrible, epic weather conditions. The photo was taken by Sky's official photographer Scott Mitchell.

Fantastic idea for a thread!

Here's my contribution (or first of many I'm sure)

Sergio Henao and Rigoberto Uran riding through the downpour trying to pull Bradley Wiggins back into contention in the Giro. Unfortunately I am unsure of the photographer.

And finally, one of Froome and Quintana on the slopes of Ventoux. The fans and the colored smoke they have gives this photo a great effect and view of the riders and tifosi of cycling I think. Lovely images Afrank. One can almost feel the atmosphere around. I particularly like the first photograph due to the story behind it.
