Belgian rider Rob Goris (Accent Job-Willems) passed away this night in France due to a massive heart attack. He was only 30 years young.

Also, I'm sure it was unintentional, but "30 years young" is only used in a joking sense, which I doubt is what you were going for. "30 years old" should be used for people young and old.

Years ago I heard about his very interesting sport career coming over from hockey, by amateur, elite and then pro ranking and since then kept an eye on him.

Absolutely speechless.
