That name Tjorven is really ridicoulus. Tjorven is the name of a girl in an old swedish tv-series.

But I must say, Boonen seems to be a really nice guy. Sincerly

When he gave that medallion to Boonen and told him to wear it during all races, that was crazy. The kid has lost his sense of reality. He has a pretty annoying face as well.

There, I said it.

let me guess, he became some sort of celebrity in Flanders and now boonen has to pretend he cares about him while the kid enjoys the attention like a true attention *****?

He has lost his sense of reality, but when you're that young, it's your parents' job to maintain reality, you just do whatever the F you like until someone tells you to stop, then you do it a bit more, then they tell you again, then you stop. I'm happy for the kid, but someone needs to bring him down to earth.

I'll bet Boonen wears the medallion for P-R, because he seems both nice and media-savvy. He'll win, bust it out, and then tell his media people, "Please don't do this to me again".

i suppose it's probably easy for a rider to straightforwardly admire another rider who they are absolutely never in direct competition with, like boonen for wiggins and contador.

Phil Ligget also thinks LA never juiced:D:D

Nah, it isn't that Phil thinks LA never juiced, it IS that Phil thinks the question is not something he wants to get involved in. He doesn't want to broadcast what he knows, he doesn't want the controversy or the conflict that would go with him announcing what he knows. That is just the way Phil is - but he isn't the only one. Look at all the rest of the announcers - in many languages. Has Sean Kelly, who announces in English, god love him, ever said publicly he thinks LA doped? I don't speak any of the other broadcast languages, but I think the same is true for most of them. Finger-pointers are few and far-between.
