I bet Boonen can even make it to the bottom of the Mur de Huy if he'd rode it, cause every year we're going to the Mur with at least 180 riders

Do towns know have to pay to be part of the route?

No, it's all about the vip tents on the Oude Kwaremont. The vips now get to see the cyclists pass by 3 times. And they bring in a lot of money for the organisation.

Last year they also had competition from someone who organized his own vip tent on the Muur. Now it's game over for him as the race no longer goes over the Muur.

edit: and obviously Oudenaarde had to pay money for being the finishing town.

i don't know how much a outsider he is but westra will make the top 5

Good time trialist, but it would be a surprise indeed. Maybe after a long escape (with Tankink)?

Got a feeling Gilbert will be up there with the main contenders. He has improved a lot this week.

Westra himself says that since he's sub 70 kgs he doesn't go all that fast on the cobbles anymore. He'll sacrifice himself for Leukemans.

Which total outsider will make the top ten? I say Bram Tankink.
gotta give the nod to Hincapie here, motivated by the record, BMC's lack of success, and maybe the last RvV for him, I think he pulls out a top ten on Sunday
