Just saying, I've never heard Wuyts mispronounce names like Cavendish... They were picking out the most difficult names in the peloton today. Some guy of Astana, but I'm not even going to try and type it out.

So apparently Eurosport is showing Flanders in one hour, then some ****ty car racing in one hour, then Flanders, then car racing and then the finish of Flanders.

Are you kidding me?!

cycling/cars/cycling

There's no 3rd installment unless you want to watch the highlights too.

No, they didn't. You're quite the revisionist mate.

Like I said, Chavanel had a mechanical and QS used some guys to bring him back. Which they succeeded in. Cancellara brought himself back with ZERO help from his teammates. Bennati has done no work for Cancellara last weekend...

Gallopin did an attack yeah, and how did that help Cancellara exactly? He was brought back by Quick Step, quite easily actually.

When Cancellara had a flat tire Gregory Rast waited for him and they both came back to the main peloton which included Gallopin and Bennati and i'm sure i've seen 3 RadioShack riders in front of the chase group (ie peloton) from helicopter view. There was almost no videos from the peloton so it confuses me a bit that you're so sure Bennati has done no work.

And in the end, there's no need to defend QST that much. I'm talking about RadioShack.

Gallopin's attack didn't help Fabian but it shows that he is strong enough for these races

The guy on the moto was there broadcasting what was happening to Michel Wuyts and José de Cauwer ;) Cancellara did it all by him self. Something he confirmed in post race interviews. So I'm confused how you can still tell flat out lies here?

And every time they did show the chasing peloton we only saw one radioshack rider at the front: Fabian Cancellara.

2012: the year Rast became a mythical super domestique

Radioshack had NO ONE in the front group at the finish(except Cancellara of course). That will only be worse when the race is going to be 50km longer and harder. If that's not weak than I don't know what is?

It's not exactly mispronounciation it's more some sort of accent.

Since i know that Rast was there, i've seen Gallopin there and i'm sure Bennati was there i don't believe 'the guy on the moto' and think they got dropped because of doing some chase work, though i understand that the most of this work is Cancellara's own share.

Why Rast is mythical

They were in the peloton yeah, but not actually working for Cancellara. They weren't good enough to bring back the big guns. They got dropped because they suck.

This is a bad team for someone with Cancellara's palmares.

Gert Steegmans thinks Cancellara has a strong team.

I wonder what Pisti will do with this one: Steegmans is on OPQS (and thus can do no wrong) but he says something positive about RadioShack (oops!).

And you realize his team did nothing there right?

He was the only one in the front group after Boonen attacked. Attacked on the Kwaremont, had a flat tire. After that he brought back the peloton to the front WITHOUT the help of his team mates. His team-mates didn't do anything to get him back. Quite sad really.

popovych and bennatti ahd flat tires at bad moments. his team was very good otherwise

You mean like how Boonen says Cancellara is the big favorite and Cancellara says Boonen is the big favorite? It's called sandbagging and putting pressure on the other camp.

Patrick Lefevre said Radioshack has a weak team. Oops!

Eurosport has different schedules for each country, in germany we have to cope with superbikes or something like that, for example

fortunately swiss tv will cover it live for ~3 1/2 hours. but generally speaking eurosport is doing quite a good job, you can't expect them to show every race from the beginning to the end, especially on a sunday when many different interests are colliding. And furthermore, they have to deal with contracts they made, that's the way it works. sponsors would go mad if you can't see their logo live in tv.

Now in Flanders

Well, after a 14 hour flight and another couple of hours on trains, I have made it to Belgium. Now to beat the jet-lag before Sunday.

Imagine my surprise when I found a Saxo Bank truck and 4 cars parked outside the hotel, and, around the corner, two Katusha cars. Hotel confirms they are both in residence for about a week.

Weather today is nice and sunny, but there is a nip in the breeze. Looks like it will cool down by Sunday. This is the official Belgium met site:

Oh, and as I type this, live on TV (Sporza) is the De Panne ITT - not all that far away, but my body is screaming for rest and sleep right now.

After Chavanel's overall win in Panne- I think he's certainly a favorite among Boonen & Cancellara.

He was the only Flanders contender to finish the race, so I don't know about that.
