I think that's exactly not what is the case. He doesn't ever take chances, at least I can't come up with even one time he did. Sometimes taking chances is what you have to do. You might say that sprinting against Tommeke is taking a chance, and a huge one it is. But it doesn't involve any active riding.
I'm convinced that Pippo could make much more of himself as a racer, I just don't know whats going on in that guy.

To win, first you have to be prepared to lose.Pozatto has never learned that.He did at least go after Ballan on his own though.

I was working today, so I missed the last 30 ks (Really annoying btw...). Good job by Boonen, deserved third win, but what happened to Lars Boom? He was looking alright the last time I saw him, bur I see that he DNFed? And how did such a big group get to fight for 4th? Thought this course was gonna make it more selective?

Personally I think Pippo did a perfect race. It's not like he could never beat Boonen in a sprint.

Ideally he should have stood completely still with his hands over his eyes. The riders would have gone around him as if he were so much traffic furniture on the road. The spectator did panic but I can't lay any blame on him since he wasn't on the road but on the sidewalk where he belonged.

Except if you have a look at the zebra crossing just near them it continues until the other side of the bike path. He wasn't actually on the sidewalk he was on the road which is why he panicked and tried to get to the sidewalk where the other spectators were

It really was his own fault.... not a freak accident. With that I judge he should have stayed upright like Boonen managed to.

What you delved into 161 pages to post that? Seriously?

You do become tiresome. How about joining the debate of the race?

Just going round Flemish newspapers. Every single one of them has RVV as its main story with massive photos.

how can Paris Roubaix be the queen of the classics if most people in France don't even know it exists.

I suppose it can, only if RVV is given the title - king of the classics.

There is just nothing like it.

Were you too busy reading the "Asian babe poses with Nissan GTR" link at the bottom of the CyclingNews page or perhaps the Kiera Knightly without makeup photos to contribute?

This.

The atmosphere at the RVV is impossible to describe. To say the Belgians are into their bike race does no justice whatsoever.

What a great event.

reckon pozzato was a mug for towing boonen up to ballan - smarter rider would have let boonen tow him up to ballan...
you can hardly say he was either perfect or that he went after ballan alone

Just some thoughts from the race
...
And finally, why was Hondo going nuts at some of the race staff?

He was pushed on the ground by them or they run over his bike.
He pushed/yelled at the race staff man and pointing to his bike on the ground.
