Gave it a 10. Was tempted to give a 9 because of the crash which made it a completely tensionless last 15km - even though Gilbert would almost have certainly won anyway. But, ultimately, you can't ask for much much more than this these days.

All the favourites were protaganists at some point. And the greatest climb in Northern Europe established the decisive break. And, a 55km+ solo break :surprised: :D

9. Almost as good as 2011. But it was the best classic race, I've seen since that race.
Of course it depends on how much one prefers solos to tense finishes, but I preferred this one.

Regarding your last sentence, I don't get why Roubaix last year isn't ahead of Ronde '11 for you.

A 10. I mean, you can't ask the impossible from riders. It was a great race, with a great winner!

From the past 10 years, i only prefer PR '16.

I just think De Ronde 2011 was a bit more dynamic. And in general, I just prefer the belgian classics instead of Paris-Roubaix. But for sure, Roubaix last year was great as well.

I also rate it below 2011. 8,5. The crash was kind of an anti-climax. Still a great race of course.

The most incredible move i've ever seen
This. Initiating a break from 90km and then going solo for the best part of 60km. And holding the advantage pretty much the whole way. That just doesn't happen in this era. It never works. Especially not from a guy who has limited experience on the cobbles.

Some people will probably give it a lower score because the Sagan group crashed (and they're not wrong for doing so), but for me it's a 10. Gilbert is my favorite rider after all.

9/10 for me. Similar epic race like last year Roubaix. I would give 10/10 quite easily but crash of the chasers ruin the drama at the end. Great race though. Cycling at its best.
