if they can stay with pog/vdp, they have to attack with surprise after the kwaremont or even before. But it might already be too late, Kung and Ganna could have probably used the support.

What would have been the point? Pedersen & Jorgenson might have been allowed a headstart (similar to Ganna) but not WVA. Pogacar would follow. At best MVDP might have lost more arrows but that's about it.
