I am not sure how much it says about Van Aert as the reason he didn't make it is because he started quite far back. Next few climbs should tell us more

Van Aert was just hopelessly positioned rather than legs, it looked like Pedersen was having to close/leaving a gap but I can't tell if he had to come round riders or not.
