I know he's not going to Roubaix, but please, for the love of God..
He looks quite capable of winning it after his 7th Tour de France win.

MVDP did what he could with his team basically fulfilling the plot of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.MVDP launched Pog for the win. Great work!
After today, he is the first active rider to three different monuments, as well as the first to four monuments total. Undoubtedly #1, the only man who comes close is currently half a minute behind him in his 'own' race.So is Pogi the #1 classics rider? Seems at least the most likely to win all 5 monuments
Except last year. The run-in after the Paterberg is always a bit of an anticlimax.
And who set that plot into motion?MVDP did what he could with his team basically fulfilling the plot of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
No doubt if all types classics are taken into account. One could even say he is the best cobbled classics riders already. Roubaix is less suited to him than Ronde, but I can easily see him making a final selection there too with this form, if he was riding it.So is Pogi the #1 classics rider? Seems at least the most likely to win all 5 monuments
If one day Pog is on 6 tour de Frances etc and he’s 31. Late career targets of things like Paris Roubaix could be on the cards.
MVDP has his role to play there. Also a big element of simple bad luck. I don't think it makes a huge difference in the outcome. Pogi was strongest today, by far.And who set that plot into motion?
If you are going to win you should win in style. If only Pog had a decent bike, instead of a Colnago.
Only difference is the Cannibal would be absolutely furious on his team for gambling for fun like this and playing the Trentin card for absolutely no reason. So all the "<new rider> is the new Meckx" threads the last couple of decades comes to shame.
There can only be one next Cannibal.
I was thinking a late career muscleNeeds to it sooner rather than later
History suggests that anyone that good that young is on the decline by 31, he should start sooner if he really wants all 5 IMO.If one day Pog is on 6 tour de Frances etc and he’s 31. Late career targets of things like Paris Roubaix could be on the cards.
