After today, he is the first active rider to three different monuments, as well as the first to four monuments total. Undoubtedly #1, the only man who comes close is currently half a minute behind him in his 'own' race.

No doubt if all types classics are taken into account. One could even say he is the best cobbled classics riders already. Roubaix is less suited to him than Ronde, but I can easily see him making a final selection there too with this form, if he was riding it.

MVDP has his role to play there. Also a big element of simple bad luck. I don't think it makes a huge difference in the outcome. Pogi was strongest today, by far.

History suggests that anyone that good that young is on the decline by 31, he should start sooner if he really wants all 5 IMO.
