It wasn't a bad move from Pedersen, you have to gamble at some point, unfortunately it looks like the chase got their act together too quickly.

His only goal at this stage is to get the the top of the paterberg with the lead group - whoever that is. Clever ride by him I think.

He is sticking to the tactic of trying to get ahead. Because he wont be able to follow the others on the climbs.

Now they maybe just catches him on Kwaremont or Paterberg and he wins the sprint. Unless he is strong enough to solo this.
