On Procyclingstats he's ranked at 7 all time. He is about to catch and pass Valverde. The likes of Hinault, Kelly and Moser are within sight.
Merckx at no1 seems a bit away still.

My top ten would start something like
Merckx
Coppi
Bartali
Pogi
Hinault
Anquetil
Not necessarily in that order

Then it’s between
Girardengo, Binda, Indurain, Lemond, Thys, Bobet and one or two others for the other spots

After the spring classics it's time for an update!

This is the top 6 of the year thus far:
  1. Pogačar 100
  2. Seixas 51
  3. Vingegaard 34
  4. Van der Poel 34
  5. Van Aert 30
  6. Evenepoel 30
Teen prodigy Seixas isn't in the all-time top 200 yet, but doubtlessly he will be in the future. The following riders in the top 200 have taken points:

(3) 2. Tadej Pogačar
(29) 27. Remco Evenepoel
(47) 36. Mathieu van der Poel
(50) 43. Jonas Vingegaard
(51) 51. Nairo Quintana
(56) 52. Wout van Aert
(148) 144. Egan Bernal
(160) 154. Filippo Ganna
(178) 160. Jasper Philipsen

Observations:
  • By winning his 13th monument Tadej Pogačar has reached the ominous total of 1313 points. This makes him the second best of all time, with Bernard Hinault well behind him.
  • Remco Evenepoel is already bigger than Boonen, and enters the Belgian top 5.
  • After overtaking “Grampa” Poulidor, Mathieu van der Poel can finally brag about being the best road cyclist in his family.
  • Jonas Vingegaard keeps taking points in stage races, leaving other Tour winners like Ullrich and Fignon behind him.
  • Veteran Nairo Quintana defends his place by winning the Asturias.
  • Wout van Aert enters the top 10 of the Belgians and gets closer to the top 50.

So Pogacar already at 65% of seemingly unreachable Merckx's points tally. If his level and motivation remain high in the next few years he can pass Eddy in your GOAT ranking.

After today I'm less confident Pogacar will overtake Merckx.
On one hand Seixas could help him remain motivated for a few more years. But he might* win a bit less along the way.
Interesting time, who could have thought in 24' that Pogacar could get even better, yet being almost challenged by a 19 yo.

I think Pogacar is at his best now (at least in one-day races) but Seixas incredible improvement surprised everyone (even if last year we already knew he's a big talent).

The gap with Merckx is still huge. If you add the points of Pogacar and Roglic together, they would still be second. Pogacar needs to continue his current dominance for at least two and a half more years if he wants to equal Merckx.

There's also the possibility that his dominance becomes a little less, in which case he might need four or five years. Crashes and illnesses can come in the way, and there is younger competition coming up.

But the fact that he's already second is mightily impressive. He's the only rider of the current century in the top 7.

Let's see how motivated Pogacar will be in the next 2-3 years. I have some doubts after some interviews. Plus obviously new big rivals (Seixas) will make it more difficult on Pog's playground (Liege, Lombardia, Tour) but it can also prolong Pog's desire to win.
