Wow a Portuguese team (Radio-Popular ONDA Boavista) doing a race in France, Frederico Figueiredo is a real talent rider, if he manage to keep form from Castilla y Leon, he could fight for top-10/15, though not sure if is a protected rider in this race with Rui Sousa and Daniel Silva in.

I hope Kudus recovered from his injury and that he can show something here.

This race has an excellent parcours for him, though maybe a bit too easy. ;):D

Wow that's really good! It's good for them to race abroad. Frederico is truely a talented rider; for those who don't know him, he finished in the group that sprinted for 3rd in the World Championships U23 last year, alongside Villella, Alaphilippe, Van Baarle, Herklotz, both Yates or Henao.

He has been having a good year but I'm not sure if he has enough practice on the big cols to perform, although I think he's a pure climber. A top 20 would be outstanding for him.

Regarding Rui Sousa and Daniel Silva, I expect them to be in poor shape as usually for the portuguese riders. They often just perform in the Volta a Portugal and Troféu Joaquim Agostinho.

Vamos Frederico!

another race with 1 day less
The first stage, initially expected in Agen, was cancelled because of the municipality withdrawal (as to say a lost of more than 50 000 euros, or 15% of the budget). Unfortunately, organization has to cancel the TV coverage planned on Eurosport. It will be for next year nevertheless :)

Yes, he's very talented and fantastic climber plus he follows me on Strava :D, that's a huge honor to have a talented rider like him following my rides.

Regarding Rui Sousa and Daniel Silva, you are probably right they like to peak once a upon a time every year.

Nuno Bico is also riding, but he is only 19 so i doubt he will be able to do much. Oh and that damn fool is missing his college exams this week :p

I hope Frederico rides well, i was very surprised by his performance in Asturais and at the worlds last year.

Is he in college? :p But yeah he should a good climber as well, he has finished Volta a Portugal already and he was born in 1994!

A great little race pity about the lack of tv coverage and the loss of a stage, I have done that climb of Tourmalet Aspin its a nice back to back, you forget how much you must climb from the north to get even to the base of those climbs.
