Incidentally, I always thought the way Mercatone gathered up around Pantani through his absolute crap phase in 2001-2002 was just pathetic.

Why pathetic?

He will be back before the race hits Rujano country. Question is, will he get banned once again before that happens

Important couple of days out of the way for Rujano. Damage limitation in the TTT next.

He already survived the biggest stumbling block: the roads of Denmark.

Now he'll probably lose 3 minutes in the TTT.

Androni is not that horrible in TTT's usually. They were even 3rd in that TTT won by NetApp.

Some people could turn that argument around and say they're so bad they got beaten by NetApp.

Anyway, he'll lose substantial amount of time on some favorites and probably win some time on other favorites. I don't have a glass ball, so I don't know which team will do the worst, but doesn't Androni have 2 guys injured? Serpa and someone's who's name I forgot. And who knows if Ferrari will still be in the Giro the day after tomorrow. Still possible that the organisation caves in to the will of the greatest World Champion ever. ;)

if rujano will lose this giro it won't be because of the TTT.and if so,that's it.they should train harder,i don't care if they are 1,50 and 45 kilos.train train train.

anyway good news for both rujanito and pozzovivo.denmark is behind them.but the giro is long

If Ferrari does not apologise personally to all the riders, I can see Androni getting a tough time in the race!

they can give about 80% of the peloton a tougher time in the mountains then what they can give them on the flat so i doubt anything will happen.

honestly if i were savio and ferrari was bullied on any way i would make sure all sprinters would finish outside of the time limit after the first mountain stage, but i guess revenge runs in my blood :p

By first mountain stage you mean 14? cos all the sprinters are leaving on 13.

doesn't matter, the moral win is what counts and ferrari will probably still be racing after 99% of the sprinters are gone so he will have the last laugh :p

I feel sad that Goss is- because i think if this was not an Olympic year he would atone for his spring campaign by getting a few stage wins and taking the points jersey ( even though climbers win it ) - but this year there are a lot of GC people i think who will win stages.

Rujano is about to face his toughest test in the TTT- i wonder what his position will look like GT wise.

Rujano will have to go on the attack Sunday as the next decisive day won`t be until the following Saturday and I don`t think he can afford to wait until then.

The 4.5km of flat from the top of the Colle Molella won`t help him so he will have to attack right from the early slopes of the climb.

he won't go alone, the climb has a hot spot, some 4 km@9%...a group will form there.we'll see who has the form to win this giro and if hesjedal means serious business.
