I honestly don't see the problem with having a couple of flat one day races. It is a problem when a stage race only has sprint stages, but to have a one day race or two that is flat...come on.

Are you scrambling for streams of this race from 2 PM onwards? I think not. You only need to see the final k. That's a boring race.

But that´s the same for Fleche Wallonne then, where the chances of breakaway groups are even smaller than in Scheldeprijs, and where the 200k before as just as boring...

Yes. Fleche is the Scheldeprijs for Purito-type riders. Still, that's generally a more lively race.

There´s a simple trick I use when I tend to get bored by these races: I just imagine it was -5 degrees on a snowy and dark December Wednesday afternoon... How I´d miss even these races then :D

Afraid I'll be distracted by the International Paint Drying from Longyearbyen and won't be able to find the time to watch this most prestigious of classics.

Supposed RHRH19861986 is a rich Sheikh then Would you watch it for a million bucks? :D

I am, in fact, but not even I am able to pay the money my fellow Sheiks will pay for watching the international Paint Drying of Longyearbyen, which is World Tour of paint Drying.

Fleche at least has terrain on which attackers have the opportunity to stay away of they're strong enough.(although it's foolish to think you can stay away) Here you have just long flat roads, with 10 big sprinter's teams work on the front. Today's breakaway is one for the sake of breakaways.

It's the Classics' equivalent of a Tour stage, except there aren't any GC riders around who want to be in front. Somehow Belgian sprint finishes in big races are messy, it's already an accomplishment to stay on your bike.

Why is canc risking pr here? Some of us need those cq points.
It's very selfish of him

Relax, Boonen has crashed here before and still won Roubaix in the same year. ;)

He's a hero in Flanders, so I guess he wants to take full advantage of riding Flemish races. And it's still a good prep for Roubaix.

So I just flick onto the CN ticker and the first thing I see is Cancellara's had a crash. WTF is he doing racing Scheldeprijs? Just keeping things interesting before Roubaix by risking crashes? Muppetry from Canc.
