There were other riders with no train who were in a better position. Maybe he needs to grow some b@lls?

And it's irrelevant because....wait for it..........he lost!

We know cav can win without a train; but today his train left him off in a poor position.

And it may be irrelevant for todays race as its over and done with but its a good point throughout a season that cav is sprinting well but that his train is letting him down.

Kittel was impressive however.

hes not riding this to win it, its just losing up before sunday.

I like your signature, overrated:
3 x world cham TT, 2 x winner of P-R, 2 x winner of Vlanders, 2nd in Olympic RR, winner of Olympic TT, multiple stage winner in GT´s, winner of T-A, winner of TdS, etc etc
what does it take to be rated?
And yet no Schelderprijs. Maybe he is just not that good on cobbles

All true. And you can tell Cav is fuming at his team. I wondered why he went there in the first place.

Two points:

Cav to transfer at the end of the season. (EDIT: Unless QS get their sh!t together)

The Swiss guy will wish he'd done a training ride instead. Probably won't change anything Sunday, but it will be good to know he will have an extra bit of suffering.

Lol, I forgot all about this race. :D
What happened? Omega screw up cavs leadout or something.

Your question supposes that there was a lead-out to begin with. The only thing they might have been leading out was the a$$ end of the peloton.

Cav's problem by going to OPQS is the way they are spread across the globe just now, with so many splinters of divided focus, they just cannot perfect a lead out train. Will any of the guys there today be in the Tour? Tony Martin was on the front for them in Pais Vasco and will be part of the Tour train. Boonen injured, Chavanel with his own goals. Terpstra resting ahead of P-R. All Cav seems to care about is matching Merckx's record Tour stage win haul. That wasn't going to happen at Sky. Green jersey is probably beyond him with Sagan on top form as Cav doesn't place highly in anything other than sprint stages. IMO, Cav will be satisfied (if not happy) with getting through the Giro with stages in the bag - and with no Purito perhaps a chance at getting red - and look to getting the Tour team in place p.d.q. after that. Once they have all their rouleurs in one place, they'll probably be fine.

He's gone to OPQS because they have no GC focus for the tour. It will be all about him. He'll also have a great chance of wearing pink in the Giro after stage 1, and then TTT World Champs OPQS have the TTT to defend it a day later. That wouldn't have happened at Sky either.
