The sprinters deserve a chance as well. That's why the Scheldeprijs Schoten exists. Because of the corona restrictions this 108th edition won't start in the Netherlands. For spectators a mouth mask is obligatory, and they're not allowed in the start and finish zone. The organizers ask the fans to follow the event at home.
The race will consist of ten local laps of 17.4 km in Schoten, Antwerp. A good mathematician knows that this gives a total of 174 km. Because of road works the cobblestones of the Broekstraat are left out. All recent editions were decided by a bunch sprint .
Recent winners:
2010: Tyler Farrar
2011: Mark Cavendish
2012: Marcel Kittel
2013: Marcel Kittel
2014: Marcel Kittel
2015: Alexander Kristoff
2016: Marcel Kittel
2017: Marcel Kittel
2018: Fabio Jakobsen
2019: Fabio Jakobsen
