08/26/2010 - Berlin (dpa / rsn) - Stefan Schumacher prepares for comeback from a two-year doping ban - even if the last start of the World Federation UCI confirmation for the Giro del Veneto on 28 August is still pending.

De rentree van dopingzondaar Stefan Schumacher in het wielerpeloton heeft vertraging opgelopen. De Duitser zou zaterdag aantreden in de Giro del Veneto, maar de organisatoren beschikten vrijdag niet over de noodzakelijke papieren van wereldbond UCI. De schorsing van twee jaar voor Schumacher loopt zaterdag af. De Duitser, die bij Team Miche een contract kreeg, was al onderweg naar startplaats Padua toen hij het nieuws vernam.

Schumacher: "All beginnings are difficult"
09/06/2010 - Lugo (dpa / rsn) - Stefan Schumacher was angry and disappointed at first, and then fellt sobering on Sunday about his comeback. The Italian-day race Giro di Romagna the Nürtingers first race for the Italian Continental Team Miche, was prematurely terminated. "Today I am pushed to my physical limits," said Schumacher, the news agency dpa.
