Why would they? Only some clinic nutters could swear blind that they must dope since they beat the others...ridiculous, assuming no one doped there would still be winners and losers, sobering thought eh ?
Having said that I'd still be interested in getting the lowdown on the preparation of all pro riders, including Wiggo and Froomey (see, I'm not a fanboy), because I think we might be surprised by the stuff they do even though it might not be illegal, wearing stockings to recuperate for a start...I wonder how many clinic aficionados know about these strange contraptions. How do I know? I spent some time with a pro team on a rest day a few years ago.
Julich, Yates and De Jongh will all receive parachute payments for confessing to their past but any members of staff signing a declaration of innocence who are subsequently “outed” as proven former dopers will be sacked with no financial package.
Ok, that makes more sense than originally reported, at least there is an incentive not to keep on lying.
