Great ride today and nice finishing effort to hold onto the podium.

I was hoping he'd pull it out but the other two would have had to have crashed for that to happen. As it stands it was a fine performance and probably the best Cannondale will see all season.

Cannondale did pretty well considering Vanmarcke was out. Van Baarle 4th and Langeveld 3rd. I'm not even sure Vanmarcke would have done any better.

Apparently Langeveld is another rider being coached by Vaughters personally this year. Seems to be working for those classics specialists. Van Baarle has been coached by Vaughters since last year too.

His results this spring before Roubaix could have been better but not much luck. In E3 he was caught like 200 meters before the finish where he would be in the top10 otherwise. In GW the tried to bring Van Baarle back to the main group after badly-timed mechanical but they failed and he had a mechanical himelf late in the Ronde when he was in the group which later fought for the top10 spots.

Excellent ride but without a sprint it won't be easy to win one.
