I don't think he will be able to hold the lead till the end. The TT he will lose ~ 1.5 to 2 min and that will be the end of that.
Strange that everyone is acting like Kuss and Jumbo have an overall objective of Sepp Kuss holding the lead..pressure is not on Kuss but on Remco and Mas, couple of others that have to cover everything because now Jumbo is suddenly a triple threat.. Kuss getting spanked in an individual time trial would not be great, but it still leaves Jumbo with lots of options and if Kuss holds form for another few days..3 out of top 10 riders.. Pretty awesome.. Sponsor exposure for Jumbo to be on camera, every website and the podium constantly, fantastic results for the team.. Other guys probably wondering why they didn't bring Alaphillipe.

Jumbo could tell him to go easy in the TT so he has the legs for the mountains, but then again you can't really tell a man who is leading the GC by almost 3 minutes to go easy, wouldn't be fair.
Kuss not losing much time to Remco would be worse for Jumbo than him losing 3 minutes to Remco. They won't have the services of their best mountain domestique in that case...

I could be wrong but I doubt Jumbo has any plans for supporting a Kuss GC bid, and he will still do important dom work for Roglic and Vingegaard. I mean, Jumb will b fine with Kuss winning the overall by default—because Remco, Mas. Etc don’t bother to chase him.

Exactly, the ball's in Remco/Mass/Ayuso etc court. They need to attack Sepp, Vingo and Roglic just need to follow and counter if appropriate (if Sepp can't follow anymore).

I don’t think Sepp’s chances are as low as many give him credit for. He’ll be a minute in the lead after the TT and is at least on par with Remco and Roglic on the long climbs which will define the rest of the race. His consistency when not allowed to have any bad days is the main question mark as it’s uncharted territory so he could blow. But I think the team tactical situation is being overblown. JV will keep him in the mix and if his teammates attack to gain time on Remco or win themselves he will follow, it’s not rocket science. Pulling off the win is still unlikely, but would not be surprising.

2 minutes is not 180 seconds Devil's Elbow, you idiot. My bad then. Still think Kuss is odds on to hold the jersey though, assuming no time loss tomorrow, but much less certain then.
I think Soler will take the jersey.

Admittedly a while back.

No way he ships over 2 minutes in the tt if he really goes for it, surely? Then if he manages to stay near the front in all MTTs a gc Kuss becomes a real possibility.
Bigmouth Remco said yesterday in the pre-start interview that he reckons he can take 2 minutes on Kuss.
That's 4.65 seconds / km, and given a 53km/h TT that would result in e.g. 29min12s for Remco and shipping 2 minutes would be 31:12 or the equivalent of doing 49.6 km/hr or around 3.5K/hr slower.

I'll walk naked through the streets of Århus with a fully clothed hamster on my shoulder, if Poels also wins this time trial.

He could, but the larger point is that GC Kuss is only a thing because GC Kuss isn't actually a threat, hence why he (and Soler, Poels etc) were allowed to form that huge break.

...but they may have picked on the wrong guy. What if Kuss doesn't lose 2 minutes? What if Remco has a bike change/crashes etc, and the margin after the TT is still 1'30? I think Jumbo has to ride for Kuss, at least on the Tourmalet. Fun times!

Absolutely no way Remco puts 2 minutes into Kuss. Remco needs to stop talking sh*t.
