What an F'n joke of an OP. 🥱 Remco could set a land speed record in a TT and it would be crickets on the doping accusations.

it was an insanely good performance to be that close to Bissegger and Castroviejo in this kind of TT.

Valverde did similar results in 2016 to what Kuss will probably achieve in 2023 The only difference is that Kuss' crash in stgae 16 of the TDF stopped him getting a top 10 - Did Valverde have his own thread after his exploits in 2016?

actually what Valverde did was much more impressive, he was 1 bad day away from being top 10 in all three grand tours. i'm sure he already had his own thread long before 2016 though.

Valverde literally served 2 years before that GT

There are 40 pages in the Remco thread in the Clinic, if you scroll down slightly. Meanwhile, your good ol' Amerkan boy has been one of the strongest climbers in the world for a good four years now (at least on the few occasions we've seen him actually climbing) while riding on a team full of suspect performers, and it's taken until today for him to get a thread of his own.

There's a 38-page Valverde thread started in 2014 along with the 27-page Movistar team thread from 2013 that he appears in several times and that discuss the exploits of 2016. There's also no fewer than 15 Valverde-themed threads across 2009-10 before his suspension, and a further three from 2012 when he came back and was performing at a similar level to before his ban.

There wasn't really much discourse though, everybody was like, hey, Valverde never runs out of form, that guy is sus, and everybody else just saying "yep, well, that's Valverde for you".

Frankly I'm not even sure we know enough about GT triples to determine if it's that much of an outlier that he's doing well or if it's actually not extremely far fetched.

Yeah we get it. You hate Kuss.
You said that nobody would say anything about Remco doing a suspicious performance and are indignant at somebody questioning Sepp.

I pointed out that Remco has a 40-page thread already if you bothered to scroll a bit further, so he has seen plenty of scrutiny from The Clinic, and far more than Sepp has, in fact Sepp has attracted very little attention from The Clinic for a man with his performance levels.

You seem very upset that anybody would raise suspicions of Sepp, in which case I'd suggest you're in the wrong place, because the Clinic is in the business of suspicion.

Where's the hate in that?

I should have been more clear and said it would be crickets from the OP. I am well aware of criticism that Remco has received in the Clinic.

It's that Kuss is doing this in his 3rd GT of the year that warrants a thread
As a super domestique on a team that's going for the triple crown, no less. Guy's a human Secretariat. Unbelievable.
He seems like a really nice guy, though. I wonder if he's Chris Horner's secret love child. Papa may have shown him the ropes.
In any event, Jumbo Visma have done a brilliant PR move by getting ahead of the game and creating the narrative that he took it easy in previous TTs.

not relevant to the topic of whether (how much) Kuss is doped

Back to the topic at hand: even if you assume JV is on some magic recovery sauce that other teams don't have access to, why is it only working on Kuss and not, seemingly so far, skeletor?

Kuss appears to have superior levels of regeneration as compared to his own (doped?) teammates and competitors. There must be a genetic component to that because he's definitely not on a better program than all his competitors and teammates.

He probably did take it easy - he had no need to go 100%. What will be interesting is what shape he has now until the end of the Vuelta. If he's doing 7 w/kg up the Tourmalet then something's amiss.

Personally I hope the Jumbo doctors go Qyburn on Kuss and turn him into a "super solder" for the next two weeks. I would love to see him win.

(Newsflash for anyone not paying attention. Everyone seriously competing for GC over the past 25 years has been doped to the gils. It is what it is. It's all apart of the great show.)

The difference is that Valverde was the leader of his team. Meanwhile, Kuss didn't even try to get a good result in the Giro and the Tour. He was just serving Roglic and Vingegaard the whole time, but still performed much better than most GC guys.
