Either those ads are also inappropriate and they need to be removed a lot quicker, or one cannot be held accountable for statements that are not even that far from these type of advertisements. Either it is always inappropriate or it is only inappropriate when we do it and not when CN/FP does it?

The quoting of another poster in an off topic thread that most users ignore? Is the podium Girls thread appropriate? There are certainly more potentially inappropriate posts in that thread then anything TFF has quoted.

You can say you see the difference but it is currently clear that the ads are a part of the forum lay-out, and unless you take extra measure they dictate some of the first images you see when you open a thread and thus influence the manner in which you view the forum and thus what can be deemed as appropriate, admittable and acceptable behaviour

well if someone deserves a slap on the wrist they must have done something wrong and for how long will you just let someone away with a slap on the wrist, his infractions were certainly adding up :S

Just goes to show how flawed the three strikes system is, much like the the three strikes crime laws that cause people to be sentenced to life in prison for shoplifting.

i was led to believe they were moved, didn't bother to check as i see no ads as i run firefox with ad blocks and a script block so i see only the forum and CN/FP makes no money out of me clicking in here.

I browse everything else on the internet on safari.

I do sympathize with you for the position you are in, but I disagree with this way of handling it. First, I laugh when someone suggests that a reference to "titties" is sexual content. Each to their own, but I just don't see a reference to a part of a woman's body at the same level as a discussion of sex acts. This isn't boarding school circa 1955.

You cannot control the ads, and I am sure they have been nothing but a headache for you. But they are a part of the forum and their content influences the forum. To say that, CN is going to profit by showing breasts in the forum, but members cannot discuss breasts in the forum is ridiculous to the point of being insulting. The forum is the forum; the ads are not separate from the posts. You didn't start this mess, but you took ownership of it once you started to moderate based on a principle of "we can do it but you cannot". Your moderation policy has tied you firmly to FP/CN even though your posts have been boob-free. Inappropriate is inappropriate; if it's not good for the goose, the gander had better not be making a buck on the side.

Like many of the numerous non-issues that have been over-moderated here, this fire would have died as a spark had it been ignored.

Every time I see ads like this I click on them......so they will send more.

Of course these are related to cycling as much of this lingerie is made of some form of Lycra.

I don't think so. They just deleted my post that asked which of 138 terms for breasts was okay to use. It was an honest question. How will I know which terms are inappropriate if they won't tell me?
