Miles Scotson found himself unable to sprint today after breaking a rear spoke and the rim warping so badly that he came to a stop.

A comment from Ride shortly after putting up the interview:
"PS. I've had confirmation from others in the bike trade that this is not unique to Scotson in stage 2, nor to Groupama-FDJ at the TDU.
In the words of one person who has contacted RIDE Media, "Our team had the same issue last year... seems there were a 'bad batch'. One of our riders had three wheel changes in three days at one race, all rear C60s... he went back on a pair of year old c50s and was fine."
