Pawel moreover seems to confirm what his dad said, i.e. that he involved his younger bro in this whole affair. I feel really sorry for Kacper. He seems really influenceable. Now he's really bad, hardly eats and they both have to visit a psychologist.

On the other hand, Pawel is a real moron and an idiot. They talked about vitamins, OK. And vitamins are what would make him World Champion, sure. And if the UCI told them about the profiles, how couldn't they realise it was not vitamins.

Perhaps part of why they admitted so quickly, and didn't borrow cash for the counter analysis, was them realizing that they'd won rather easily, they were getting into REALLY good shape. When EPO was supposedly found, it all made sence to them. They knew what they had very possibly already feared.

My God. Let's say, hypothetically, that you have something in the top part of your head that remotely resembles a brain. Someone comes to you before a major race and says "I have 'vitamins' in this syringe and if you'll allow me to inject it into your ***, you'll be world champion." I know these are two are kids, but nobody who can dress and feed themselves would drop trou for that. The only way it's remotely believable is if these two had never heard that doping products exist, and that's just not possible for riders at that level.

A rider is not that naive, so he is an intensional cheat.
A vitamine is not that expensive, it would raise suspicion to any self proclaimed poor, POOR rider.
Or, the soigneur in quetion accepted to me make a loss, to make his idols winners. Lying for them to take it, and effectively getting them suspended. Making his/her motives shady.

So, the brothers are less poor, or less naive than they admit
They helper is not a helper, or doesn't even actually exist.
Still, they were stupid enough to think they'd get away with it.
Motives to get caught with doping can only be thought up by Tyler hamilton himself.

UCI to Restore Szczepaniaks’ U23 Cyclocross Worlds Results

the UCI and the World Anti-Doping Agency have taken the unprecedented action of throwing out the case and restoring the two Polish riders’ titles.

In a joint press release UCI President Pat McQuaid and WADA President John Fahey responded to the interview with the announcement that the two organizations would not continue with the case.

“It is clear to our organizations that Pawel and Kacper Szczepaniak were simply confused about the nature of their medical care. Mistaking banned substances for routine vitamin injections is a common error that should not be held against these two talented young men,” said the unusual release.

“After all, who hasn’t made a sporting error?” added McQuaid, referring to his ban from the 1976 Olympics after participating in a race in apartheid-era South Africa, which was long the target of international sporting bans.

The UCI has not announced a timetable for the return of the World Championship jerseys and medals to the Szczepaniaks.
