Should the fans boycott Armstrong's sponsors?

Now if I was Nike, or any of the other sponsors that have invested in Lance, I'd be sure to get someone on my payroll to throw random posts into this thread to try and stop the mounting damage to the brand. Oh and I'd hit delete on the internal memos that warned me of the risks associated with joining our brand to a suspect character.

Don't mean to be a spelling Nazi, but what I originally assumed to be typo appears to be a comprehension issue.

The word is pact and it means a type of agreement.
The word pack refers to a physically close group.

I own two Treks, but given the way they've treated LeMond and the way they've supported Armstrong, I can't see myself ever buying another Trek. And I'm saying that as someone who lives in southeastern Wisconsin!

That's a real shame.

The real question is how much traffic to the content farm...I mean livestrong.com? Would much rather see a 50% reduction in that waste of bandwidth than the .org site which has real human value.

Pushing traffic to the .org site is clearly not a priority given the historical numbers and where the placed the content farm.

Livestrong is a sponsor too, see his kit in pretty much any photo. So I guess they get the same treatment as any other sponsor. Boycott?

The amazing thing is that one would suspect that the .org's traffic would grow somewhat with the growth of the .com's, even if it was accidental spillover or strengthening of the brand name. Nope. The .com has been useless to the .org.

i can't tell if you are being sarcastic in the first point or just obtuse. what isn't "collectivist"? what is a corporation? what is a government? what is a society? what is wrong with people banding together to achieve a moral objective? think of it this way. which would hurt more, a billion individual rain drops or 5 million liters of water hitting you at once? if one chooses to boycott, it is an individual choice that if repeated will have an impact on a much larger, more powerful entity.

naming and shaming only works if there is a (monetary) penalty for their actions. nike, et al don't give a rat's behind whether they are liked or not as long as you buy their product. look at apple. fanboys/hipster/liberals continue to buy their stuff despite all of the news reports that the products are produced under dubious conditions, while apple rakes in the dough and its stock is propelled to record heights.
