As the mod's won't reply to my message, i'll start a thread.

I note the forums policy of keeping talk of drugs and doping has to be confined to 'the clinic'. Yet it doesn't stop these people, who love to cast unfounded untruths regarding cyclists and others, from adding to there signature, there vitrolic drug themed diatribe.

Surely mod's should be moderating this, or have they given up on these forums. I want to read about cycling, not the crap, that no one really knows the answer to.

Not sure who you wrote to but I would be happy to review any signatures you feel are out of line with posting guidelines. We have from time to time asked people to change signatures.

Thanks

What nonsense. It's a bloody signature. I choose not to use one and I don't spend much time reading others. After you've seen them once you skip over them, and unless they're a paragraph long they don't interrupt the thread. Certainly, modify or delete ones that cross the usual lines of taste. Otherwise, this is a solution seeking a problem.

Rubbish, have a good look around, there's heaps of sig's were people are adding there opinions on subjects to there sigs, and like the hole you defecate out of, opinions are similar.

I think you mean "opinions are like a$$holes, everybody's got one."

And my opinion, which may fall into your stunning new category of "unfounded untruths", is that a signature block does not add to, detract from, or sidetrack a thread. It is just a signature. In the hands of some users it is mildly annoying, in the hands of others it is often funny. Either way, it's just a signature block, not "vitriolic drug-themed diatribe."

ive got signatures blocked now so i dont see them, too many of them are too long, like five lines with spaces between each line, or stupid quotes, or meaningless rants. Got sick of seeing them.

Would happily see sigs restricted to two lines at size 1 text.

What do you mean?

People have non-cycling signatures, and they post in the Road forum, therefore it is off-topic and distracting from the discussions, they should be banned.
