That's kind of the point. So readers will notice them.
Why would you complain about this? Others do click on them and they are necessary for the economic survival of this site. You understand that "free" doesn't really mean "free", don't you?

i dont really see the relevance of that link.. i was neither slamming, hijacking, nor was a being distrespectful..
Having an opinion you dont agree with is not a valid reason for me not posting..
actually they are doing nothing for the ecomic survival of the site, they are akin to a heavy handed double glazing salesman who knocks on the door and simply wont take no for the answer.. such a huge block of flashing adverts lead many visitors to simply block them..
yes i fully understand the need for advertising.. i also hope you understand my right as an individual to block it, it is of no benefit for me to see it as i do not click on such blatent links anyway. however, there is good and bad advertising, good advertising makes money, bad advertising doesnt..
now on the older site the adverts where better placed, more subtle and i did not block them.. in fact some of them if they where relevant i even clicked on..
there is good targeted advertising, and there is ill concieved badly thought out advertising that leads the user to block it.. cn displays the latter.. companys that continue to use large block, untargeted and clunky advertising will sooner or later fold from lack of advertising revenue...
