Has anyone wondered or even written about their experience with doping?

Interesting thought, to gain a couple a three gears. What's a good read?

For old school, I'd recommend "Tomorrow we Ride" by Jean Bobet (brother of the Louison winner of the tour in the 50's

For new school, there's nothing better than Tyler's book, though you do have to read "though the lines" sometimes to appreciate the exhilaration that winning brings on, even when you know you are cheating.

And, when you are done reading the manuals you can seek out the resources from:

- Your friendly anti-aging / hormone replacement therapy physician
- A long-term autologous blood storage facility*

*These are much fewer in number, harder to find and harder to utilize than you might think (especially if you follow all the smear attempts and troll posts on how LeMond must have been doing this... ), but you could start with Daxor.

Dave.

David Anthony, the NYC weekend warrior who got popped for EPO at a fun ride spelled it out quite nicely.

Buried deep in the Ask JV1973 thread is his comments. I'll save you the trouble, it didn't work for him. He had big problems recovering after many days of racing, no problem with oxygen uptake.

Another side is an Armstrong. Zero to hero and back if he got off the doping cycle. Look at his vaguely recent multisport results as proof of how good doping can be if you are blessed with being an EPO super-responder.
