The Vuelta al Uruguay starts on Thursday as well. Boyaca will be there with Ivan Casas, Movistar with Luis Pasamontes, Optum-Kelly with Tom Zirbel, Byron Guama with his national team, Alex Diniz (who just destroyed everyone at the Giro do Interior Sao Paulo) and even good old Ludovic Turpin with his new caribbean team.

And of course all the local stars. Jorge Soto will seek revenge after the bitter defeat at the Panamericanos. Alan Presa, Hernan Cline, Bilker Castro, Pablo Pintos... you name it.

Can't wait for the race to start. :)

I wasn't able to find a decent report on the second stage of the Vuelta Michoacan. I only know that today's stage was 110 kilometers from Ciudad Hidalgo to Morelia. It was probably mountainous to an extent since KoM points were given out. Juan Carlos Lopez I think leads the KoM competition. Juan Escarcega from Alubike won the stage while Florencio Ramos remains the race leader.

Vuelta Ciclista Internacional Michoacan Stage 4: 110 KM

th_352fe25daf686bdb4edca223c921acea_9bf977cc50563afd3c5bc35917930a2e,ciclismozacapuraul3.jpg

Cesar Vaquera from Hermanos Correa won the fourth stage of the Vuelta Michoacan with a time of 2:27:50. Vaquera was part of a breakway group of 8 riders that broke off from the peloton. In that group was Jose Ramon Aguirre who further secured his lead in the king of the mountains classification. Aguirre's teammate Florencio Ramos stayed in the lead again after today's stage with Bernardo Colex occupies the second overall position. The race concludes with a circuit tomorrow, and it seems as if Florencio Ramos will win this years Vuelta Ciclista Internacional Michoacan.

he will never win that race for the same reason he never won the vuelta

I just hope they don't try to tailer-make him an edition, they think he could win. They did this last year and he failed. They should make an edition like in 2009, which was a great one with La Linea mf, Escobero mf, Alto Letras and Patios tt.

Any news on route or foreign teams yet?
