On w/kg and for some perspective at Tour time, I see that pronghorn antelopes have a Vo2max of about 300 ml/kg/min (they TT at 65 k/hr), Iditarod sled dogs 220-240, race horses 150-200 ml/kg/min. (despite huge body mass), and the average draft horse and layabout household pooch about 90.

IMHO, pooch gets no respect! Not fair! Mini-Greg Lemond snoozing on the sofa.
