What a great, great stage.
4kms of contender action, instead of the usual 2.

Tune in tomorrow, for the final 3kms of the Super Stelvio Smackdown.

Respect to Ryder, Purito, Scarponi etc. Obviously, they are all dead! But I have to say, this stage, as well as whole race, was underwhelming. Kreuziger-Casar-Pirazzi fight was more interesting than GC fight.

3 kms of action.
Awesome.
Congrats to Hesjedal and especially Kreuziger, who showed some balls at least.

not a great stage, but you could see how much it took out of the riders... wrecked man.

I was wrong about basso, I dont think he'll be winning a giro again :(

Hesjedal totally insane, looks like the man to beat now, will surely win.

This was pathetic. Lol Basso. Purito, haha. Urán following wheels for three weeks now. Pozzovivo with no ambition. Gadret, invisible. Scarponi and Basso thought they could take back serious time in the last 3 km? Seriously? "They're all dead". Exactly. All of them. Which includes both those who tried something (Kreuziger, Cataldo, Hesjedal) and those who didn't (everyone else - yes, even Scarponi. Should have gone much earlier, and more importantly, should have set up a fast pace in the previous climbs).

Hesjedal, the only one we could reasonably say didn't need to take time, was the only one who gave it a serious go. Hesjedal, the one who's never been in this situation before. Says all about how disgraceful everyone else is. He's the only one racing to win, and by god, I hope he wins.

That stage wasn't bad. Pirazzi and Casar attacking the break, Sella and Roehriger bring them back, Kreuziger and Cataldo attacking on the penultimate climb, with Kreuziger going on to win, Scarponi and Hesjedal attacking the other GC contenders on the final climb.

It wasn't epic or a stage for the ages, but it wasn't bad either.

We'll have to get used to it very quickly

No, these idiots just need to abandon the old supercharged blue train tactics. Liquigas proved that today. Eventually, other riders (besides Contador) will realize that they don't need four teammates to drop their competition, and guys like today's Basso will be dumbfounded as all the Smyzds in the world won't win them GTs.

I think JRod and Hesjedal are now the only two who can win, now. Scarponi and Basso are too far back with only one mountain stage left, I think.
