Can't even begin to describe the differences by being paced by a motorcycle on a TT and a car on a normal stage.

I understand that, I was just enjoying dwlsonic jumping to Pinotti's defence regardless of the offence

He never hold on to anything, according to him. He just drafted the car in the Tonale descent.

What rider is daft enough to draft on a descent, unless they absolutely suck at it and most sprinters are good descenders.

This is Italy!

Other riders sent the wrong way and their guy gets a tow.

You just have to smile :) If you take this aspect of cultural difference to seriosuly it drives you nuts ... it's just one of the things that comes with competing in Italy.

Incompetence and fraud are part of the national character? Thats a pretty harsh judgement.

I picked Pinotti for the Great Grand Tour Game so whoever helped him (though I'm not fully aware of what happened) made a clever move.

Where to start... none of this would be thought of as incompetence or fraud in italy. That's the curious facct about cultural differnece. Dont get me wrong I love Italy and Italians ... .

...go spend time there and you will ubderstand a little better.

They were afraid cars could get in the parcours and cause an accident since the "scorta tecnica" (sorry, have no idea of the translation) by the organization was already gone.

That's what he said.

Have you ever seen a rider penalised for a false start on a TT? It's not as though it isn't important when every second counts. But riders often go before the beep but nothing ever happens. Why is that?
