First top10 in an individual TT for Hesjedal in the last 4 years?

Good ride by Purito though.

So Hesjedal has never been top 10 in a international ITT and suddenly rides equal with De Gendt and takes 6th place...

15 seconds seperate Rodriguez from the win. Kind of sad, will he ever get that chance again?

Given his inability to perform consistently over 3 weeks, I'm going to go ahead and disagree with you.

Nice ride by Ryder! Deserving winner.

he has very good recovery ability...

Too bad for Purito.

Perhaps if he'd attacked 1200 metres from the finish instead of 800... but hey, you can't ask him more than what he did can you!

Right, I was shocked at how well Ryder did. If he had performed as expected, Purito could have won the Giro with that TT.

Ryder Hesjedal, GT winner.

Sorry, I still can't quite take it seriously even though he's been probably the most deserving of the bunch in this race. It just doesn't feel right, mainly because most of his palmarès has been based on good placements by being quiet in the pack, and yet in this race he's been one of very few people who HAVEN'T just stayed quiet in the pack.
He has pretty much been like all the top men really.

To be fair, chance of a lifetime, took lots of risks.

This is no more out of the ordinary than the rest of his race. He's always been decent at TTs, but with the motivation and the opportunity, he put out a great show.

Just like how in the climbs and GCs before he's been decent, but given the motivation and the opportunity he's gone from being anonymous pack fodder picking up 6ths and 7ths in stage races by keeping his powder dry and playing it cool to the winner of one of the Grand Tours.
