I don't think it was a matter of courage. He just didn't have it. Hesjedal was stronger all round

Sorry, I still can't quite take it seriously even though he's been probably the most deserving of the bunch in this race. It just doesn't feel right, mainly because most of his palmarès has been based on good placements by being quiet in the pack, and yet in this race he's been one of very few people who HAVEN'T just stayed quiet in the pack.
