I'll admit, I dont watch enough bike racing to know the textbook. I did watch many of the spring classics and smaller stage races this year tho.

Part of me is just here for the cute villages.
And I'm but a noob :) This is possibly the only thing I recognize. Partly bc I've listened to to LRCP for 4 years :D
I watch for the mountains and rivers, but mostly for this forum :)

The stage was so interesting until UAE decided to let the break win
UAE also showing fatigue Wellens and Politt punishing themselves these first days.. UAE going small ring allowing the break will also have the consequences of not putting the pressure on Visma, if Jorgenson and or Jonas were going to crack soon, this is almost a riding rest day for them..
Meanwhile while EF is just blah..Irish inspiration ripping up the countryside!! Healy is riding like there is a tiger chasing him!! Looks good!!

As animating as Healy is to races, he very rarely wins.

He just doesnt have a great kick so hard to beat anyone in a group sprint or even a 2-up... so has to go from far out.

10 career wins at pro level by age 24

1x Giro, 1x TdF stage

2nd in Amstel
3rd in LBL
4th in Strade Bianche
5th in Fleche

is not a bad resume really! He will almost certainly win a Vuelta stage soon to complete the set, and has a shot at winning a classic or two in next 5 years (so long as Pog not there aha)
