I can't forgive Chris Horner for labelling Roglič a dirtbag yesterday after his attack on the Angliru.

There's also Benji Naesen who cemented a key position on my own sh*t list after he dragged Rog's wife into an internet sh*t show just for clicks & generating traffic.

These people (influencers etc.) are superfluous.
Horner's histrionics are like watching rival WWE wrestlers go off on one another. It's all a show, and the only thing missing are cycling kits knitted with sequins.
Plus, have you seen the size of that guy's hands? They're huge! But I digress.

Jumbo have swept the podium without going all out and have played musical chairs with who was going to win.
I do realise that the Clinic, and especially threads like this, have just devolved into insider jokes, but come someonle please explain the humour here to me? I mean, there should be a little bit of truth in it - it's so funny cause it's true!!! - but where's the truth here? Kuss took the race lead without any other TJV rider having held it, and he's held the race lead since without passing it to another TJV rider in a game of musical chairs.
They finally came up with Kuss because it’s a “good” story.
Again, someone, please explain the joke as this is so divorced from reality it ought to be paying alimony.
Sport should be about a fair fight
Wah! Wah! Wah! 'Snot fair!!! The issue here seems to be someone's forgetting cycling is a team sport and TJV came into the Vuelta with the primary goal of winning three GTs in one year. Who won this one was a secondary objective which was overtaken by events. What's not fair here?

This thread is about what drugs forumites are on, their perceptions and hallucinations. Look at most of the prr forum and it’s full of hysteria. In fact, I would say truth and balanced opinion in there is not the norm. This is state of the forum 2023: angry and hysterical.
On a personal note, I consider the dominance of Jumbo obscene.

A part of the insider joke is that... sometimes, we barely even know what we're talking about ourselves. It's just non-sequitors, and going off weird tangents. Sometimes even tangents to the tangents.

In general the entire forum looks ready to explode as fallout on the polemics regarding Kuss, Rogo, and Vigo, and Dumbo team management. It's a tenuous situation, with posters trolling each other in different threads.

Roglic was interviewed and was quoted as saying ya, ya, it's a difficult situation and feels weird. Jonas got a bit tearful and said he hopes the situation improves because he believes in the forum. Meanwhile, a relaxed and smiling Sepp stated the forum was good and was working well.

Come and have a beer.
I can't speak for topcat, but it seems the "musical chairs" line was just a play on words. We all know that the jersey wasn't changing hands on the daily.
You're an intelligent person, but you're not exactly a barrel of laughs. Which makes me wonder why you're judging people based on their sense of humour.

OMG, the trolling in the race threads is hilarious

You don't have to be able to detect irony and/or sarcasm to post here, but it helps.
Or at least I assume that it does. I can't really detect it myself, to be honest.
This is ironic or is it just high iron and a huge red blood cell count. How do you get through the rigorous anti-doping controls?
Sidebar: the forum has gone a bit crazy with many ppl losing the run of themselves. I’m wondering how far they’re going to push it. There’s been several posts longer than Libertine classics by these new kids. Libertine is from the EPO era, so what are these new kids on?
I disapprove strongly, pass the popcorn.

I've been reading this for more than ten years but never participated because of a conflict of interest in my industry work situation. I've never seen it so toxic.
La Pierre Saint Martin 2015 was quite the day on the internet, well worth a read.

I think many are just being a bit hyperbolic at the moment, those Bertie fans used to get the knives out.

Nah, been a member for 12 years and a lurker even longer. It was most toxic during the heights of the Froome years. But others copped it. Contador was a wonderful rider but his fans would not tolerate an ounce of criticism of their hero here.

You would note in the Jumbo / Vingo threads that people keep bringing up washed up Froome. That is symptomatic of the lingering toxicity and resentment of rival fans of that period.

Plus, the forum isn’t as popular as in the period of 2010 to 2017 or so. There are a number of prolific and knowledgeable posters from the period who have dropped off.

Personally, I say JV don’t get as much criticism as they deserve. But I am fine with Sepp Kuss winning the Vuelta. Just my opinion.
