I think Boonen was wide awake yesterday--he just got shelled, fair & square. And is it any wonder? Spartacus was a beast.

Having said that, I agree with Inner Peace: There isn't enough tilt out there for Canc to gap the Belgian. If he does get a gap, he only needs 90-95% of his power to hold off anyone in lycra. But I don't see it happening.

I expect to see Boonen hit the front in Arenberg again--just like last year--and, barring mechanicals or mishaps, put the race in his pocket. When it comes to Roubaix, Boonen makes his own luck by being the engine. Some guys consistently place high but don't win b/c they're happy being passengers, waiting for something to happen instead of making something happen.

Boonen
Cancellara
Flecha (by himself)
Hushovd
Hincapie
Hoste (The three H's come in together, Thor takes the sprint. Maybe Maskaant and Gilbert are here, too. Though I can't see the latter two sitting quietly in a group.)

Bottom to top

Just kidding..
but yes i reckon Cancellara will go into TT mode late on and blow everybody out, leaving a small group behind and Flecha getting a jump on his breakaway companions.

Ignatiev is a big dark horse for me i reckon he will do well. So yes top to bottom, maybe Ill edit my post and put numbers on it when I get round to it.

Gilbert doens't start next sunday, he's putting everything on Gold race, liege and fleche wallone.

Pozzato probably will start, he's doing the scheldeprijs this wednesday, as is Boonen and Cancellara.

So I'm guessing based on that ranking that you´re a Sky fan right?

Yes, I dont think he ever got over the Danish team pursuit squad getting crushed at the Olympics by Brailsfords UK team... but looking forward to this one. I love this race though and yes Breschel is a great rider but not as good as Cadel Evans!

Breschel can be a great water carrier for Cancellara.;)

Lots of abuse and post for someone who doesn't want to talk. Thing is I was actually surprised when you suddenly got angry. I realize I'm probably wasting my breath, but perhaps in the future when you tire of a discussion you could say so in a polite tone? Just a suggestion.

You can get mighty good odds on a top ten finish.

Just thinking about Pharma and who they are going to bring in to be competitive on the cobbles again. They've got Gilbert, but the last time they won Roubaix or Ronde was about 7/8 years ago with PVP. For a G-W or Het Volk win you've got to go back a few years too.

Compared to QST's Devolder, Chavanel and Boonen, they look really poor.

That's ok as a support team, but I don't know how many people can imagine any of those as a winner of Paris-Roubaix 2010 over Boonen, Cancellara, O'Grady, Breschel, Devolder, Hushovd, Flecha, Ballan, Hincapie etc..

Can see Lotto not getting a top 10 with that team. Wonder what Roedlandts can do after 6th in G-W..
