Lots of abuse and post for someone who doesn't want to talk. Thing is I was actually surprised when you suddenly got angry. I realize I'm probably wasting my breath, but perhaps in the future when you tire of a discussion you could say so in a polite tone? Just a suggestion.

OK OK. I might of went over the top but no hard feelings hopefully either way.
I still think Breschel is a classy rider and i had him in my top 10 this time remember.. I'm trying to be objective, but maybe i am biased and lean towards Sky but that can go for anybody following the racing this year looking out for a particular team or riders.

Sky have British riders and English speaking riders so i tend follow them more than other teams... simple really. i look out for Saxo because some of my favourite riders ride for them also. OK back to Paris- Roubaix.

If Farrar makes it to the velodrome, anyone with him has to know he is the man to beat. I think he has a good outside shot actually.

geh, too bad for EBH :(

Basically he only got to ride one classic this year in good health, which is a shame considering they obviously were a major goal for him. He couldn't have won P-R regardless though, perhaps a top 10 at best, but now he loses the opportunity to get the required experience.

What about last years 2nd place finisher? I know Pozzato has been sick lately, but as to how severe... hmm, sandbagging a bit, perhaps? After a sickness people usually come back stronger. I believe he'll be all game for Sunday.

How about predicting some surprises besides the obvious favorites?

I know they won't nearly be winning P-R ´10, but these riders I see great potential in:

Paolini - has been showing great form

Bonnet - Surprisingly strong spring, and he's young!

Hammond - Has been here before, is in decent form and no Haussler

Quinziato - likes the cobbles and supposedly has great form

Tjallingii - Might be a long-shot with several heavier profiled riders at Rabo, but he's a power house suited for this type of race.

De Koert - A potential top15 finish for Skil?

Goss - Where has he been so far this year? Big potential!

Knaven & Terpstra - Routine vs. Opportunism...who will be Milrams best bet?

Leukemans & Westra - Well, actually I just like Vacansoleil to do good again.

And what about good old Guesdon? Roubaix seemingly is his favorite race.

As mentioned before, put Geraint Thomas on that list. Former junior Roubiax winner, no track this year, on good form in Flanders (just outside the top 30), he will be there to help Flecha, and is a good outside top 10-20 bet.

BMC had a rough go last year with some broke bikes, DNFs and riders who didn't finish with time limits. This year will be better, but no podium. I think it's Spartacas or Boonen.

I'd like to see him in the mix. I don't understand the abuse he gets around here, maybe not enough wins yet for some. Not near the top of my list but I'll be pulling for him to do well.

I myself had high hopes for G. Thomas this year, but still don't think he's shown decent form this year yet... Should have the stature and power to do well, but anything more than a mere top25 at the moment in this class field would be a major surprise to me...

plus one. and ian stannard who a few more people may now have heard of ;)

Evening all. Here is what one well known bookmaker is making of the odds for the race. I thing G Thomas was 300/1 but can't remember Stannard for those who mentioned those two.

Looking at value, I like Farrar at 28s, Sagan at 66s and def Boom at 100s.

Fill yer boots folks :)

F Cancellara 6/4
T Boonen 9/4
M Breschel 7/1
J A Flecha 12/1
T Hushovd 12/1
F Pozzato 16/1
G Hincapie 25/1
B Eisel 25/1
T Farrar 28/1
B Leukemans 33/1
R Hammond 40/1
D Millar 40/1
A Ballan 50/1
L Hoste 50/1
M Burghardt 66/1
L Paolini 66/1
Syl Chavanel 66/1
P Sagan 66/1
S O'Grady 66/1
M Quinziato 75/1
M Maaskant 80/1
S Ivanov 80/1
L Boom 100/1

I personally feel it would be wrong to let Ballan ride PR after yesterdays controversey.

I think his abuse is in direct proportion to the defense of another sprinter on the Cav Angry thread.

Sure no problem, I'm Dane and I like Saxo Bank and Danish riders. I even have a certain preference for English speaking riders, simply because I can understand them.

Yeah i think i need to apologize for that post/posts. i've edited them out anyway:eek:

looks like the weather is set fair this time and a slight headwind the whole way. i'd love it to be tinder dry because you then tend to get a massive dust storm following the riders but its probably not dry enough this time.

It 'll interesting to see how David Millar goes, But he maybe he is working for Farrar and not himself, though he is riding well at the moment.

Garmin should let David do his thing. Tyler came in with the group at Flanders and, while I'd like to see him do well; I don't know if he can take that beating. Considering the usual Roubaix carnage Garmin should protect both of them as late as possible and see who prevails.

I to would like to see that too...but would rather see Hincapie on the podium....fingers crossed.

My podium
1. Boonen (changed my tip again:rolleyes:)
2. Farrar
3. Hincapie

No cancellara as I think those 3 will out sprint him but he is 4th for me.
