[David Millar] is looking forward to his first proper shot at the pave. "It scared the **** out of me," said Millar. "Arenberg blew me away, and there were times I thought: oh god, what have I signed up for?

David Millar, straight-talking as ever.

Can't see past the big two for the win but I am also looking forward to seeing how the young guys from Liquigas get on. Some great talent in their start list and I think they will be there to race.

Same here.

I"m really curious to see how Daniel Oss rides it.

Me too...Oss has been super prominent so far this spring, animating races from a long way out.

There was supposedly a bit of rain the past few days though. I lost all trust in the weather man and weather forecasts being a melbournian.

You bother with weather forecasts in Melbourne? I thought Melbourne had a permanent forecast for morning showers with rain developing... :p

Berty, you are a bit behind the times ... we have had a drought for over a decade.

(Besides which, Sydney has a much higher annual rainfall than Melbourne. Why isn't Sydney the **** of your joke?)

Edit: Gosh, it was just a little non-offensive word starting with 'b'

Before the race even starts, the best photo of this year's Paris-Roubaix has already been made. Gustav Larsson during recon:

If Servais Knaven finishes this year it'll be his 16th time, which would mean that he'd equal the record of Raymond Impanis!

Probably was showing off his new bike and hit something, or maybe he was distracted by a cow or sheep or whatever. I'm just surprised its a Saxo rider and not a Radioshack man..

Have to disagree with the article on the front page, naming Boom and Posthuma as Rabo leaders.

The 2nd leader is Langeveld, not Posthuma. Posthuma is more a desperate long-attack kind of guy

Out of Competition ...

Luca Paolini & Dario Andriotto single trip to Hospital

while they were on patrol, on the track of Roubaix escorted by their team Aqua & Sapone led by Bruno Cenghialta, were violently thrown down by a car that lost control invading their lane.

Situation unknown

By the way, we are doing start-to-finish live coverage on the race. I'll be starting things off at about 10:15 CET.

Keep well hydrated and eat regularly. Its the only way you'll get through 7 hours of textcast.

Who cares, neither of them is going to be there in the final.
