Boom and Tjallingii there for Rabo, Hammond and Hushovd for Cervelo, Breschel and Cancellara for Saxo, Boonen for Quick Step, not super hard pace, Flecha ofcourse there. Hoste, Leukemans also

Not a crash on the d'Arenberg. Steady, no break in the line, so not as selective.
All the usuals at the front, though.

He was in the break. When the rest of the break dropped him, the peloton caught him.

You may recognize the name, as his enormous fan club means his name tends to be by far the most common one painted on the road at the Tour, in the Pyrenees.

There's a second group formed between peloton and break, isn't it? Right after arenberg, looked like hushovd told a teammate to attack, and brought a few riders with him.
