I just hope this prediction of yours doesn't fail like a lot of your other predictions.
I will be here to say I was wrong. Don't worry. And I don't fail a lot of predictions, I just can be very wrong in one or two predictions. And of course I can fail on this one but Roglic has been so prone to crashes and will probably have 3 riders better than him, so there is a real possibility he will not top5.

When has the Giro been good? I liked 2019 and 2018, but that was a long time ago. Can't remember I was ever really that thrilled the past 6 years.

He is better than with Movistar, but that's why I wrote "sometimes he still got his own agenda". In each Tour I've watched you see him waste unnecessary energy. Wasnt he also in breaks (with no tactial plan) when it was still unclear that Pogi would win in 2024? As a Tour contender with an opponent as Vingegaard/Visma you need a 100% dedicated team. So imo no Ayuso and Soler. That doesnt make them bad riders, but they are not helpers.
For any other leader that would be a problem but Pogacar loves chaos and the confusion for other teams wondering what Soler is doing and whether to shadow him with a similar rider of their own adds to their stress.

The return of Jonas vs Pogacar. This is what most cycling fans want to see. It is interesting to see Roglic, to see Remco but nothing beats watching Pogacar and Vingegaard (stage racing).
Yes, we are all eagerly waiting for a fair rematch in July. No crashes or excuses for either rider. With respect to Primoz I just don't see him on the same level although he should be respected.

Ok, first of all you know I'm a Pogi fan but second I'm also realistic.
Roglic in last year's TDF was by far not in optimal shape. You made the claim that Roglic will not top 5 the Tour this year which I think is ridiculous (unless he crashes again which is his kryptonite).
IMO Roglic is closer than Pogacar and Vingegaard than you think. Roglic is a top 15 rider of all time and you are disrespecting him for some reason.
Top 15 all time Grand Tour GC rider maybe but definitely not top 15 all time road cyclist.

Some people blame Pogacar's dominance but races without him seem somewhat empty (maybe my fanboyism speaking). But this Giro has a good startlist and I hope UAE can fight Roglic, even if I'm not too convinced.

Mantle of the best GT has passed from the Giro to the oft maligned TdF. Maybe be can thank Pogi/Vingo rivalry for that? Last year seemed a procession behind Pogi doing zone 2 training for three weeks.

2023 Roglic - in suspense until stage 20 MTT.
2022 Hindley - in suspense until stage 20.
2021 Bernal - yes a bit boring.
2020 TGH - - in suspense until stage 20.
2019 Carapaz - beat Nibali

2021 boring but 2022 and 2023 good because suspenseful… agree to disagree

The problem is that suspense isn't always entertaining.
The 2022 and 2023 Giros had suspense due to a lack of action.

I prefer more action, even if the suspense ends sooner.
Watching only one day of action on the 21st stage isn't much different than seeing a Tour de France decided on stage 8 iff in both cases there has only been one day of action. Watching 20 days of inaction doesn't provide any more entertainment.
