Imagine preparing a race for months and suddenly you can be out due to a goat's attack.Pogi always attacking, even when he’s not riding.

Giro is the best race in the world. I think this stage was very disappointing though.28 days to the start of the Dauphine and Pog's return. Yes, I am counting the days to that race because the Giro is sh#t.
Just four more GT stage wins, and he will have as many GT stage wins in his entire career as Pogacar won last year.Pedersen can win more than six stages in this Giro. I wonder if he'll be criticized like Pogacar, who ended up giving away a stage to Steinhauser due to pressure![]()
Rick you know this, one simply does not just walk into mordor.A GT won by 3 weeks of wheelsucking being lionized like the most epic thing ever?
I don't even have to guess which thread this is.
If he wins the Giro he'll be lionized. If he wins a bunch of stages he'll be compared to WvA forever. It's enjoyable to see him ride this dedicated with team support.Pedersen can win more than six stages in this Giro. When Pogi attacks, all preparation goes out the window.Imagine preparing a race for months and suddenly you can be out due to a goat's attack.

When has the Giro been good? I liked 2019 and 2018, but that was a long time ago. Can't remember I was ever really that thrilled the past 6 years.Giro is the best race in the world. I think this stage was very disappointing though.

The return of the Jonas28 days to the start of the Dauphine and Pog's return. Yes, I am counting the days to that race because the Giro is sh#t.
The return of Jonas vs Pogacar. This is what most cycling fans want to see. It is interesting to see Roglic, to see Remco but nothing beats watching Pogacar and Vingegaard (stage racing). The return of the Jonas
For any other leader that would be a problem but Pogacar loves chaos and the confusion for other teams wondering what Soler is doing and whether to shadow him with a similar rider of their own adds to their stress. He is better than with Movistar, but that's why I wrote "sometimes he still got his own agenda". In each Tour I've watched you see him waste unnecessary energy. Wasnt he also in breaks (with no tactial plan) when it was still unclear that Pogi would win in 2024? As a Tour contender with an opponent as Vingegaard/Visma you need a 100% dedicated team. So imo no Ayuso and Soler. That doesnt make them bad riders, but they are not helpers.
Yes, we are all eagerly waiting for a fair rematch in July. No crashes or excuses for either rider. With respect to Primoz I just don't see him on the same level although he should be respected. The return of Jonas vs Pogacar. This is what most cycling fans want to see. Top 15 all time Grand Tour GC rider maybe but definitely not top 15 all time road cyclist.Ok, first of all you know I'm a Pogi fan but second I'm also realistic.
Roglic in last year's TDF was by far not in optimal shape. You made the claim that Roglic will not top 5 the Tour this year which I think is ridiculous (unless he crashes again which is his kryptonite).
IMO Roglic is closer than Pogacar and Vingegaard than you think. Roglic is a top 15 rider of all time and you are disrespecting him for some reason.
Some people blame Pogacar's dominance but races without him seem somewhat empty (maybe my fanboyism speaking). But this Giro has a good startlist and I hope UAE can fight Roglic, even if I'm not too convinced.Yes, we are all eagerly waiting for a fair rematch in July. No crashes or excuses for either rider. Mantle of the best GT has passed from the Giro to the oft maligned TdF. Maybe be can thank Pogi/Vingo rivalry for that? Last year seemed a procession behind Pogi doing zone 2 training for three weeks. When has the Giro been good? I liked 2019 and 2018, but that was a long time ago. 2021 boring but 2022 and 2023 good because suspenseful… agree to disagreeMantle of the best GT has passed from the Giro to the oft maligned TdF. Maybe be can thank Pogi/Vingo rivalry for that? Last year seemed a procession behind Pogi doing zone 2 training for three weeks.
2023 Roglic - in suspense until stage 20 MTT.
2022 Hindley - in suspense until stage 20.
2021 Bernal - yes a bit boring.
2020 TGH - - in suspense until stage 20.
2019 Carapaz - beat Nibali
The problem is that suspense isn't always entertaining.Mantle of the best GT has passed from the Giro to the oft maligned TdF. Maybe be can thank Pogi/Vingo rivalry for that? Last year seemed a procession behind Pogi doing zone 2 training for three weeks.

Looks like your hopes abide. When Almeida puts the tempo, Roglic will suffer a lot in the Tour. And we have to see if he doesn't crash before.
After today’s passive efforts on a stage where a concerted effort to be aggressive could have paid off it is much harder for people to be annoyed if Pogacar had simply waltzed off into the distance on that 10km climb. Some people blame Pogacar's dominance but races without him seem somewhat empty (maybe my fanboyism speaking). This. A lot of GTs I watched in my life with small differences between favorites were very boring. Giro 2022, Giro 2023, Tour 2019, Tour 2017 and I'm not including a lot of Vueltas. The problem is that suspense isn't always entertaining.
The 2022 and 2023 Giros had suspense due to a lack of action.
I prefer more action, even if the suspense ends sooner.
Watching only one day of action on the 21st stage isn't much different than seeing a Tour de France decided on stage 8 iff in both cases there has only been one day of action. Watching 20 days of inaction doesn't provide any more entertainment.
