Both were similarly cooked at the Tour end but Pog's recovery could've been slower: just look what he was doing in the spring and what Vingo was doing.

Alaphilippe and Sivakov have competed in the Tour of Britain. Pogacar hasn't competed in two months. He's always been in poor shape in Quebec.

Montreal will give us better conclusion about his preparation for Rwanda.

I don't take the Giro 2024 as a reference for anything. TDF - Vuelta double against your nemesis is the ultimate challenge.

You know Pogacar has a heavy spring compared to Vingegaard. This difference is huge.

This is a normal build up to the bigger races later in the month. Problem is, Pogi is not normal.

In GTs for sure. Not in classics. I still think his MSR performance one of the most insane performances ever.

But he wasn't feeling his best. I wouldn't make a big drama for this. Let's wait for Montreal. Perhaps it's also because he's been focused on the time trial and is struggling to get back into shape for a few more days.

Pogacar had some monstrous pulls and his first uphill acceleration dropped everyone (they caught him on s shallow part though). I think he's in a good form. Not thermonuclear but on the right form trajectory.

Well yeah. In the end, his biggest goals for autumn are the Worlds and Lombardia so he's peaking for those. Maybe won't be in peak shape yet for Montreal.
