Not even close. He looks bigger, especially compared to 2024.
I'm not going to weigh in on that, however, either Horner is right or he has a serious problem with perception. The later, based on much of his knucklehead analyses, when he often is patently just wrong, would not surprise me. It's like there is reality, the real state of affairs and how things actually took place, and then there's the Horner way of seeing it from an alternative universe.

Someone put a side by side of Pogacar at the Strade finish line in 2024 and in 2026 and there is no comparison - he looks much slimmer in 2024. But that would make sense given he was riding the Giro that year.

Fascinating, so maybe he is just much heavier this year in preparation for the only races that really matter before TDF - MSR and Roubaix?

You would think with 40 extra watts the gap would have been bigger.
I think he's a bit heavier, but no more than 1.5-2 kg (max) but even with that added weight 40 watts is a huge difference over 2 hours, so yes the gaps to vermersch, christen, gregoire should have been much higher, unless you assume all of them overperformed significantly compared to their last races

You are completely ignoring how much time he lost because the race was already won.

That is the effect of drafting. If it was a 2 hour climb, he would have gained 20-30 minutes on these guys. And yes, they have also improved.

He is coming prepared to this years PR I see after his field trip last year. I wont be shocked if the same happens there now as it did in RVV the following year after his first student trip in 22.

After seeing his power, MVP will have even more troubles to follow him in RVV.

SB never had so many people on the road like they had yesterday. Despite his dominance, people still love to witness a legend and probably the future GOAT of cycling.
When I watch on the TV, I find Pogacar frustrating when he does long solos. When I watched the Hautacam stage last year in person, I just found it wildly entertaining when Pog came past solo about 6km from the top of the climb. It's very different watching on the road to watching on TV.

I also think these solos are boring, specially when they are so normal for Pogacar nowadays. But I have zero doubts people love to see him live on the roads, more than anyone else.

Remco and Mathieu also do solos, not same distance but it's solo rides.

The excitement of watching a solo is the same, whether it's 40 k or 80 k. Watching the rider doing the solo is different, I prefer Pogi's solo.
Of course but Remco or MVP can't be dominant like Tadej. They do way less solos and with less kms.
