So did anyone’s take on Pog’s chances actually change after Vingegaard’s Dauphine? Nothing that’s happened so far has been remotely surprising but seems a lot of people needed to be reminded how good Vingegaard is.

My take is that if Pog is at his absolute best their chances are similar but Vinge still has some edge (while at the season start I had them at 50/50).
If Pog is not at his best (possible due to his injury setback) then Vinge has a clear advantage.

Or vice versa. Do you know her descending skills? I don't but wouldn't assume she wouldn't take the lead.
Do you really believe what you said? What I will say is serious and without sarcasm.
Doing sexist comments should give bans but these type of anti sexist comments should give bans (or warnings) too. It is completly unacceptable someone to speak something that completly defies what logic and cientific evidence defends. How can someone be so dumb to even question or doubt about Pogacar's superiority at descending compared with his girlfriend? To descend you need physical ability too. You should be someone who thought Serena Williams could beat a top 100 man...

For all we know she could be Nibali on the descends. She skis much better than him, which is a good indicator she’s probably a good descender. And since this is no enduro cup (meaning the selection in cycling is not based on descending skills which means that pro cyclists may not necessarily be the top descenders in general population), best female cyclist could easily be a better descender than best male cyclist. You have absolutely zero scientific evidence to support your claim, which is basically that every male pro cyclist descends better than any female pro cyclist…

I would be a bit surprised if she was quicker than him on the descends, but it’s not so far fetched as to call somone names for considering it.

Edit: I have no idea how good a descender she is but I’m assuming the inly criteria you had was the gender.

People should be banned for having no sense of humor, but that won't happen.
My wife trained in the Norcal coastal hills where the pavement is a mere suggestion of a riding surface. She can descend better than many pros and would take the lead all the time. It doesn't take "cientific evidence" to prove the point. She skis well and can see a good line plus was a young gymnast. Do you think you can out descend her?
Yako suggests Tadej was a gentleman and meant no disrespect IMO.

It's not just her descending that lets her down, it's also her positioning in the bunch in general, which is of course a shame when she is one of the best pure climbers, but rarely gets into a position where she can prove it.
The final mountain stages in the TDFF last year were the first real chance for her to demonstrate what she can do as usually due to poor rouleur skills relative to the average she gets dropped on the flat and moderately hilly courses only coming into her own on longer climbs. The lack of diversity in parcours for the women’s peloton to compete on has limited her chances as the male equivalents to her would be the likes of Ivan Sosa and Kenny Elissonde.
