I like Morgado but I think that the Tour is too important for Pogacar to take the risk of bringing Morgado. As good as he may be, he's never raced a grand tour let along the Tour de France, which will likely be raced at an infernal pace.

Del Toro would be a slightly less risky bet, I think, given that he's adapted to very high level WT racing basically immediately, but both is a step too far.
Del Toro has started the season off, flying. Which is not uncommon for young guys who want to prove themselves (especially in a cut-throat team like that, every opportunity has to be seized). They are in better shape because these early 1 week stage races are a way for them to show what they can do. While the other pros are all riding these races to build up form towards classics, Giro or Tour. If you send Del Toro to the Tour, there is a good chance his form will not be better than it is right now, potentially even less so. Difference being all the seasoned pros will then be in top form unlike now. Imho this would be too big of a risk, both for the rider as for his leader who wants to win a GT. Imho, it would be irresponsible, especially if you are expecting these guys to actually do a certain job in the train. That means no taking it easy and "seeing where things take us" or just picking out a few stages to go all out.

UAE should send the both of them to the Vuelta. Let them play around now until their form drops off, then build up towards late summer.

I don't disagree at all, especially when you do have Ayuso and Almeida there, but as a first reserve it might be an interesting punt.

who can have 8.5W/kg for 12 minutes on a hill with a 5% gradient behind a scooter? that's how much Pog had 3 days before Strade Bianche, I'm telling you they made a monster from a catastrophically trained champion with an adequate trainer at the top level in the ranks of trainers from Visma, and Sola it is definitely that level
Not a long ago i ask the question about Pogi being top10 climber ever, but since i am start to reading your post about his power, watts, etc i think the question i should ask should be , was prime Pantani close to 2024 Pogi.

What does the scooter have to do with Pogačar‘s wattage? Do you reverse engineer these numbers from climbing times or do you also have a picture of the wattage file or the file?
