Is there any chance he actually waits until the final round of San Luca before he attacks?
I think he goes on the penultimate San Luca. IMO, he shouldn't just bank on going mano-a-mano with Roglic on the final San Luca where Roglic is most dangerous (even though I think Pogacar can beat Roglic in the final sprint with the form he's in).

What we saw yesterday while weve seen it all year during Liege, Giro and the Tour one woulda thought he actually couldnt shock more,,kinda disbelief what we saw still. Hard to grasp

Like he says the physical superiority is insane.

To be able go at 100km left and stay away. Its almost impossible to understand if you have not been a pro cyclist to get just how much better/stronger than everyone he is to be to be able to do that.

I can definitely see him going just in the last San Luca. These are just prep races before the big goal

Comrade @mou has said as much the tour is his employment work, but his interest is in other races.
I know it's not as realiable source as mou, but Tadej Pogačar said in that same podcast he was feeling a lot of pressure for the Tour, he had anxiety and couldn't sleep over it. These are not words of someone who's main interest is in other races. It's clear from what Tadej Pogačar says his main interest is the Tour. Whether or not that's an enjoyable experience for him is an entirely different question, of course and I could imagine he prefers going to Emillia to going to the Tour just as I prefer going out to have beer with my friends to being in an office.

I love that he can still have a nice budget meal in a back of what seems to be a garage

The Tour simply weighs too much.
Money to the sponsor, your legacy, UCI points... you name it.
There's no way around it.
Therefore it's hard to extrapolate the 'genuine interest' component.

Having Pogi won 3, and having the personality he has, though I don't doubt that, if the external pressures were different, he wouldn't even care that much.

Magnus Carlsen stopped competing in the Classical WC, because the stress, the work, the tediousness, wasn't worth it to him anymore (he had won 5, by then, anyway).
But while the Classical WC might still be the most prestigious event in chess, in recent times its allure has faded a bit and other Chess events have reduced the gap.
That doesn't apply to the TDF and I personally don't see it happening any time soon.

1. How can we define a genuine interest? An interest, that’s free of outside stimulation? If that’s the case, we can go so far back to claim Pog is not even interested in cycling and his real interest is Lego…
2. If genuine interest is something that comes from within, then there’s no way for us to know what it is for other people.

LOL, yeah, I know, that's why I wrote that it's 'hard to extrapolate "genuine interest" '.
Being good at it, the prestige/monetary reward, and such, play a factor no matter how one spins it.

Though we know that Pogi said he loves the most Flanders and Strade Bianche.
And for Tadej to win Flanders, especially against MVDP, it takes a lot of effort. A LOT.
So it's not like he likes it simply because he can win it easy-peasy.
That must account for something, right?

Nice WC shirt! I like it. But UAE need to change their shirts for next season so they not all white. looks too similar to Pogacar's shirt

This year he can't be in Flanders because he needed to prepare the Giro. Next year, he can go back and race it. He loves to race against MVP, it gives him an extra boost.

People tend to say what they do and don’t like. In this situation, pogi would never tell me or you or the press he does not care for the tour so much compared to other races. His employer would not accept that. He would tell someone for sure if this were true. His gf, family, trainers, close friends. So if @mou turns up to explain pogis calendar and references pogi’s intentions and desires about it, he might be making it up (don’t think it makes sense to make up) or he is close with one of those confidants.
